Vegetarian Vision, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization,  started in 1992 from New York, with the mission to promote vegetarianism among the people of the world. The organization serves as a resource network and a think-tank for vegetarians worldwide, with the objective of healthy future for all of mankind and planet earth. We server everyone and collaborate with other vegetarian associations through all our dedicated volunteers.

The Mission of Vegetarian Vision is to promote, encourage and inspire people to become Vegetarian, propagate the benefits of various vegetarian foods, and provide educational information on the benefits of various Vegetarian foods.

Through a dedicated committee of volunteer members the organization serves all existing and aspiring vegetarians and vegetarian associations. It is a non-partisan, apolitical group that serves anyone regardless of race, color or national origin.

The founder of Vegetarian Vision Mr. Harshad K. Shah has burning desire to make people healthy by Vegetarian Foods and lifestyle. He is a visionary, and a firm believer in being healthy by Vegetarian Foods and save the animals.  At the onset there were about forty members who were strongly committed to make Vegetarian Vision a benchmark of Vegetarian life.

Over the last twenty years, Vegetarian Vision has grown to a large  membership servicing tr-state areas of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The dedication of about patrons,  life members, annual members and active Volunteers have contributed to the success and growth this organization.

Some highlights of events organized by Vegetarian Vision are very impressive and worth a mention here. Our first major event was held in 1996, the International Vegetarian Food Festival was held in New York Coliseum.  Almost 17,000 people attended this event and 150 stalls filled up the coliseum.

In 1998, a similar Food Festival was held at New York Armory with repeat performance. Similar events were organized utilizing speakers, exhibits and Vegetarian Cruises. These activities have created greater awareness and conversion of many new vegetarians.

Vegetarian Vision sends out Quarterly Health News Letters, invite nationally recognized speakers and authorities on speaking engagement, educating people the benefits of being Vegetarian. Every year at our Annual Thanksgiving dinner event highlights updates our activities, unites members, presents new ideas, and a celebrity speaker is invited to encourage healthy life style by being vegetarian.

During the past many years, we have collaborated with various local Vegetarian organizations, supported their cause, and also helped teacher education programs on Vegetarian benefits. All these have progressively translated in to advocating Vegetarian Food in some elementary schools.

This is a collaborative achievement with other organizations in New York area. We had arranged speakers on Yoga, Breathing techniques, Vegetarian recipes and vegetarian Cooking demonstrations. All the activities of Vegetarian Vision are supported by volunteers who devote their time.

Recognizing our activities, we have many patrons and supporters who believe in our cause and our objectives.  Most of the programs are done on not for profit basis; in fact most of our programs are subsidized.

We are celebrating our Silver Jubilee as a two-day event in Penn Pavilion, Manhattan, NY on September 9 and 10 of 2017. The primary goal of the event is in alignment to the goals and objectives of the organization of promoting a healthy vegetarian way of life, save the planet, save the animals. The organization over a course of time (25 years) has supported various programs and projects for the same.
